Dolce & Gabbana women's


    Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana’s story starts in the Eighties when they met in Milan. After a few years working as assistant designers for designer Giorgio Correggiari, they opened a designer consulting studio. This collaboration brought them to show their first womenswear collection signed as Dolce & Gabbana in 1985 in Milan, the city where a little later they opened the first shop.

    Slowly, the duo launched other product lines, including knitwear, accessories and menswear. Their style, creativity and innovation soon caught the attention of worldwide acclaimed actors and singers, such as Madonna, Monica Bellucci, Scarlett Johansson, Julianne Moore, Kylie Minogue, Whitney Huston, many of them also appearing in there adv campaigns, Daniel Craig, Matthew McConaughey and Kevin Spacey.
    Dolce & Gabbana currently produce several lines - womenswear, menswear, kidswear, eyewear and sunglasses, watches, fragrance, home accessories and a beauty line, having a strong distribution all over the world and headquarters in Milan and New York.

    The typical sensuality of Southern Italy is essential for Dolce & Gabbana, who also take inspiration from Italian cinema, both in terms of actresses (such as Anna Magnani, Sophia Loren, Claudia Cardinale and Stefania Sandrelli) and in terms of the atmosphere of the Italian realism.
    The woman’s silhouette is suggested by fitted dresses, transparent fabrics or lace and garments inspired by the lingerie style.
