History

Premier luxury fashion house Fendi was established in Rome, Italy, in 1925 by Adele Casagrande and her husband and business partner Edoardo Fendi. The business was initially a leather and fur workshop and it soon became very well know at an international level for the impeccable style, high-quality materials and superb craftsmanship.
The five daughters of the couple took over the business in 1946 and in 1965 they hired Karl Lagerfeld, the creator of the double F logo, who later became the Creative Director for Fur and Women Ready-to-Wear.

In the '80s Fendi established itself as a global lifestyle brand: Fendi Casa was inaugurated in 1989 and in that same year Fendi Uomo, a fragrance for men, was also launched. In 1990 the menswear collections entered the scene. The creative director for accessories and menswear is Silvia Venturini Fendi.

Now, the luxury fashion house is part of the LVMH group
