Women's fashion by Stella Mccartney
An early love for fashion and an important working experience at Christian Lacroix, mark the initial stages of Stella McCartney’s career. In 1995 McCartney graduated from Central St Martin’s College in London where, for the final fashion show, she invited Naomi Campbell and Kate Moss to wear her collection.
In 1997 she became the Creative Director of Chloé and in 2001 Stella McCartney launched her brand in a partnership with Kering.
McCartney designed the sportswear for Great Britain's Olympic and Paralympic teams in 2012 and Team GB kit for the Olympics in Rio 2016 with Adidas thus continuing a collaboration with the sportswear brand started in 2004.
Over the years, the designer has achieved several international awards in both fashion and social awareness.
The brand has different lines: women’s ready-to-wear, accessories, lingerie, kids collections and a beauty line.
The style of Stella McCartney is outspoken, minimal but memorable and feminine. One key feature is the use of vegan leather. Stella McCartney is committed to finding luxury sustainable materials alternative to leather and furs.
