The Floating Piers, the project developed by Christo and his late wife Jeanne-Claude, takes the form of a three-kilometer long modular floating runway of 220,000 polyethylene cubes wrapped in  70,000 square meters of shimmering yellow fabric changing color from yellow to red, depending on the light and weather conditions.

The Floating Piers will stay on the lake until July 3rd, 2016, freely accessible to all and offering a unique opportunity to cross Lake Iseo in an entirely new way.

The project has been welcomed by hundreds of thousands of enthusiastic visitors from all over the world, impressed by the inspirational force of the installation.
