Valentino's creations have been repeatedly immortalised by world-famous photographers in countless fashion magazines - enchanting women from around the world and capturing the imaginations of many muses and celebrities. From Jackie Kennedy, who wore a Valentino dress when she married Onassis, to Audrey Hepburn and Elizabeth Taylor, the 1960s and 1970s icons who played a significant part in growing the Italian designer’s international success.

A ground-breaker in so many ways, Valentino was the first designer to license his own brand for the production and marketing of his products in the global marketplace. By the 1980s the name Valentino Garavani was known throughout the world, particularly amongst the international elite, who treasured garments and accessories marked with the simple and recognisable ‘V.’ The designer himself quickly acquired status as a popular glamour icon.

The brand’s success led to its acquisition by the Marzotto Group. It was then taken over by Mayhoola of Qatar before becoming the Valentino Fashion Group in 2005 – encompassing all the brand’s collections, from womenswear and menswear, to haute couture and ready-to-wear.

The accessories line (which includes handbags, shoes, small leather goods, belts, sunglasses, scarves and jewellery) is always inspired by the themes and philosophies of the main collections shown during Fashion Week, and still communicates the aesthetic world and stylistic vision of the Maison through its use of precious materials, top quality leathers, hand-crafted details and exquisite finishes – the touches which have always distinguished the brand's tradition.

Regularly showcased at the highest level, the brand constantly strives to meet the needs of an audience which plays close attention to the latest fashion trends, seeks out product quality, and lives a life full of glamour and luxury. It is little surprise then that the brand counts Claudia Schiffer, Elle Macpherson, Kate Moss, Claire Daines, Liv Tyler and the Olsen twins amongst its celebrity and style icon clientele.
